About us

We are a group of people living and/or working in Nippes that did meet at some round table (Runder Tisch, see below) meetings. We are having different jobs and different life situations – but around 2 years ago, we decided that we would like to organize some more political discussions in Nippes. The first thing was to raise attention to the European election in 2024, and we continued with the state election and now the local (Kommunalwahl) one. Besides raising attention, we also started to organize panel discussions and evenings focusing at specific topics (e.g. climate change, or how to differ between facts and fakes, etc.). Our main aim is to provide information – and to talk about it: to talk with different peoples, share opinions and have discussions – always in a respectful way.

Interested?

Yes – the events will be in german (so far, but we are always open for new ideas!). But – most of us are also speaking another language (e.g. english). If you are curious or interested and you may understand a bit of german – please join us! We can try to translate or explain with different words what is happening. And we would be very curious and interested about your point of view or experiences and opinions. Round table (Runder Tisch Nippes)

What we call „Runder Tisch“ (=round table) is a meet-up of interested people in Nippes every 2 month. There are some people working in Nippes (e.g. at the Bürgerzentrum Nippes or at the Churches) but also many people that just live in Nippes and are interested what is happening in their neighborhood. We meet and exchange ideas, plans, projects and we also discuss or develop new ideas – like this initiative for political discussions, but also something like a „Lichtfest“ in January at the Wilhelmplatz.
